Support. Connection. Hope.
A community supporting people through mental health challenges, addiction recovery, and suicide awareness.
Better Today
Better Today was founded out of a response to the devastation caused by addiction, mental health and suicide in our local area. Too many lives have been lost, too many families and friends left broken, and too many people left without hope. Better Today exists to change that.
Our team is made up of people who have lived it — friends, family members, and individuals directly affected by mental health, suicide and addiction and their consequences. We know the pain, but we also know the possibility of change. That’s why we are committed to building spaces where people can find support, connection, and a new direction.
From coaching and wellbeing sessions to youth projects and creative community events, our work is rooted in resilience and recovery. We believe that no matter what someone has been through, every day offers the chance to take a step forward.
At Better Today, we don’t pretend to have all the answers — but we do promise to walk alongside people as they find their own path. Because transformation starts small, and it starts with the belief that today can be better.
Better Today
We support people facing mental health challenges, money worries, addiction, or anyone who simply needs a friendly face.
Our daily online content — including support videos, Q&As, and motivational posts — reaches people where they are, while our group meetings, 1-to-1 sessions, and coffee mornings offer real-life spaces to connect.
What We Do
Every Wednesday evening we open our doors for friendly, informal drop-in sessions. It’s a chance to grab a cuppa, meet new people, and share whatever’s on your mind — whether it’s stress, mental health, addiction, or just the ups and downs of everyday life. You’ll find a welcoming space with real conversations, support from people who understand, and sometimes even guest speakers with inspiring stories. You don’t need to book, and you don’t need to have the “right words.” Just come as you are — we’ll take it from there.
What We Do
Start your Friday with a warm welcome at our Coffee Morning.Every week we open our doors for free tea, coffee, cold drinks, and snacks — but more importantly, for good company. It’s a relaxed space where you can meet new friends, play games, and enjoy a chat in a supportive environment.Whether you fancy joining a group conversation, having a one-to-one chat, or just sitting back with a brew, you’ll always be greeted with a smile. Our team and support workers are also on hand if you’d like advice around mental health, addiction, or any challenges you’re facing.
